SUNNYSIDE Almost all of the entries in last week’s Football Forecast thought Seattle would easily dismantle the Washington Redskins.
Those who did were wrong, including the winner and runner-up.
Despite picking that game wrong, Grandview entrants Larry Wax and Scott Williams still duked it out for first-place honors, each only having missed that single game.
In the tiebreaker, Wax picked Washington State to fall Stanford. Williams predicted Stanford would box in the Cougars.
In the end, the Cougars game up with a big 24-21 win, for a total of 49 points.
So not only did Wax pick the winner of the tiebreaker, he also had the closest total points with his prediction of 49.
For his effort, Wax received a $50 first-place prize. Williams receives a free three-month subscription.
The contest continues again this week. Be sure to get your entry forms returned to The Daily Sun by 4 p.m. Friday.
Don’t forget “Survivor Football” coming in December.
