YAKIMA A Sunnyside man who made his preliminary appearance in Yakima County Superior Court Monday for burglary in Yakima was released on his own recognizance.
He was allowed to go on his own recognizance on the promise he will appear for arraignment on Dec. 11, the administrator’s office said.
According to Officer P. Equihua, who wrote the charging narrative, Fernando Ray Lara Avalos, 39, was arrested after 1 a.m. Saturday in connection with a burglary at Dickie’s Barbecue Pit at 2706 W. Nob Hill Blvd.
Most of the evidence Equihua had pointed to something not quite criminal. The man was hungry.
