Mabton falls to Patriots

— The Mabton volleyball team battled and lost 3-0 to the Liberty Christian Patriots Tuesday.

“We did not have a good game at all,” Vikings coach Vanessa Medina said.

However, the Vikings only lost by 5 (20-25) in the first set, 8 (17-25) in the second and 6 (19-25) in the final.

Noemi Galarza had 14 kills, 9 digs and a block, Kassandra Hernandez provided 18 assists, had a kill, a block and 4 aces, and Karina Garson had 5 digs.

Medina said Hernandez and Galarza “... did a good job, had great chemistry and did well in the front row.”

The Vikings host Walla Walla Academy at 5:30 p.m. tonight.
