New Jersey man injured

— A New Jersey man was injured near here Wednesday when the truck he was in crashed.

The Washington State Patol attributed the crash to “inattention and speed too fast for conditions” on the part of the truck driver.

The injured man was Craig L. Green, 45, of Linden, N.J., a passenger in the truck. He was taken by ambulance to Kadlec Medical Center in Richland.

The man driving the white 2017 Freightliner was Levon Boiler, 31, of Harrisburg, Penn. The truck was impounded.

According to the Patrol, the truck was northbound near the Yakima Valley viewpoint, and Boiler failed to negotiate a turn. The truck overturned.

Boiler was cited for second-degree negligent driving.
