Groups now forming

— NAMI Yakima, an affiliate of the National Alliance on Mental Health, has four new support groups on its fall schedule.

Connections Recovery Support Group, a confidential and safe support group for adults living with mental illness, and “Family Support Group,” for the loved ones of individuals living with mental illness, meet from 7-8:30 p.m. Wednesday at Comprehensive Healthcare, 402 South 4th Ave., Entrance #1.

Registration is required for a 12-week “Family to Family” and for “Family and Friends,” an introductory 4-hour seminar, which informs and support people who have loved ones with a mental health condition. Both groups begin Sept. 21.
