Shoplifting here lands man in jail

— A Yakima man was arrested Saturday after allegedly trying to shoplift $1,066.85 in merchandise from WalMart.

Ronnie J. Beeler, 42, was booked into the Yakima County Jail and appeared in court Tuesday.

Beeler was arrested at about 3:11 p.m. at the store , 2675 E. Lincoln Ave., after pushing a “completely full shopping cart” out the door without paying for any of the items, court records show.

Police responded to the store after employee Josue Perez notified them of the incident, records show, noting video of the incident supports Perez’s complaint. Beeler allegedly told police he paid for the merchandise, but that his girlfriend had the receipt, records show.
