SPOKANE Historic Downtown Prosser Association has been awarded a Rural Community Grant from Northwest Farm Credit Services.
The association plans to use the $500 grant to initiate its “Mini Critter” mural project, at which local artists will paint pictures of small, native animals on downtown brick buildings.
“We thank Northwest FCS for recognizing the importance of art to local economic vitality,” Historic Downtown Prosser Association secretary Candace Andrews said.
She said the association hopes to create a walking tour to showcase the paintings, “… and to encourage people to explore the historic district.”
