Swim teams swarmed by league foes

— The Mustangs and Greyhounds didn’t fare well against Selah yesterday in the pool.

Prosser lost 58-105, while Grandview suffered a loss to the Vikings.

Rachel Blount of the Mustangs had a first-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke, clocking 1:22.66. Teammate Rachel Forrister was second in the event with a time of 1:24.96.

The duo were teamed up with Brooklyn Shultz and Abbigail Albrecht for a first-place finish in the 400-yard freestyle relay in 5:02.90.

Blount was second in the 100-yard butterfly, Forrister was second in the 200-yard individual medley and Albrecht was second in the 100-yard breaststroke.

Selah won nine of the 12 events.

Sunnyside lost 55-111 at Lions Pool in Yakima to West Valley.

Allison Davis was the only Grizzlies swimmer to place first with a time of 29.39 in the 50-yard freestyle.
