DUI cause of vehicle crash

A Kennewick man believed to be driving under the influence was injured in a 3:30 a.m. crash west of Mabton on Monday morning.

Ryan B. Cutler, 42, was traveling west in the ditch off the eastbound shoulder of SR-22, nearing Milepost 27 when his 203 Ford F-150 pick-up struck two mailboxes and proceeded across both lanes of travel on the highway before coming to rest off the shoulder, the Washington State Patrol said.

He was taken to a Prosser hospital to be treated for his injuries.

Cutler was charged for driving under the influence.
