Al Patton and Don Gill, second and third from left, were recognized yesterday by the Board of Directors for forty years of service at the Roza Irrigation District. Gill and Patton were hired by then Roza manager Hank Vancik in January of 1978 about a week apart, and started a few months after the 1977 drought. Both are planning to retire later in 2018 and are Roza’s two longest serving field employees. Also pictured are Roza manager Scott Revell and Roza Board Vice President Jim Willard. Willard expressed appreciation for both men on behalf of the Board of Directors for their long service to Roza’s water users.
