WASHINGTON Washington earned the No. 4 spot in a new ranking of the worst states for retirement by MoneyRates.com, a personal finance and banking website.
“Though it was worse than the median state for climate, security and proportion of older population, Washington's biggest problem was its economic environment.”
The company's experts looked at 11 data points across 5 categories for each state to determine the best and worst states for retirement in 2018. The categories include health, personal safety and popularity with retirement-aged
