New art opens Friday

— A new exhibit featuring Prehistoric inspired art opens at the REACH Museum, 1943 Columbia Park Trail, from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Friday.

Taking upcycling to a new level, the exhibit includes several dinosaur gembones from a Struthiomimus that have been preserved and turned into fine works of art with bronze casts and exotic hardwoods.

A reconstructed Woolly Mammoth tusk will also be on display in the Hoch Gallery for a limited time only!

Visitors will learn about fossilization and the difference between a Woolly Mammoth and a Colombian Mammoth.

In addition, there will be a workshop to allow creation of artwork inspired by the Prehistoric objects.
