GRANDVIEW In a Central Washington league match last night, hosted by the No. 8-ranked Greyhounds girls wrestling team, the Eastmont Wildcats lost 24-48 to Grandview, and the Quincy Jackrabbits took to the mats against the Greyhounds after.
Full results were not available as of press time.
There were only three matches between the Greyhounds and the Wildcats.
Adri Graf pinned her opponent in 46 seconds in the 115-pound weight class, Kiara Sanchez lost the 120-pound match via pin in 1:24, and Jennifer Ramos pinned her opponent in 24 seconds.
Grandview’s Jazelle Tovar (100), No. 1-ranked Maria Reyes (105), Caitlin Gomez (110), No. 3-ranked Jasel Perez (130), Mollee Weddle (135) and Sandra Pacheco (170) won forfeits.
Quincy won four matches against Grandview by forfeit at 235, 140, 145 and 190 pounds.
Tovar lost the first match by pin in 2:51 against Jacqueline Torres of the Jackrabbits.
Xochitl Tafoya of Quincy was pinned by Maria Reyes after the Greyhounds grappler took a 16-3 lead.
At 110 pounds, Caitlin Gomez was defeated by No. 9-ranked Cynthia Diaz.
Results for the following matches weren’t available: Graf wrestled Marisol Cardenas, Sanchez met with Jocelina Gonzalez, Ramos competed against Alexi Mondragon, Perez won another forfeit, Weddle squared off with Jaselyn Jones and Pacheco met up with Kimberly Gonzalez.
The Greyhounds host the Grandview Invite at 10 a.m. Saturday.
