— Small-business owners from across the state will rally at the state capital from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Thursday.

The event will be at Double Tree by Hilton Hotel, 415 Capitol Way North, in conjunction with the Federation of Independent Business’ Small Business Day at the Capitol.

House Finance Committee Chairwoman Rep. Kristine Lytton, Sen. Curtis King, and Governor’s Office Senior Policy Adviser Jason McGill are among the confirmed speakers. Sen. Guy Palumbo will give the luncheon keynote address.

The purpose of the rally is to apprise small-business owners of legislation that may directly affect the operation of their enterprises
