Pajama drive underway

— Candidates for the Washington Shining Star Pageant will be a taking donations of pajamas at the Wal-Mart Store, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday.

The pajamas will be donated to local hospitals for children who need medical help.

The pageant, to be held Saturday at Bethel Church in Prosser, is open to girls ages kindergarten through age 40, who are differently abled.

The pageant will be held in two parts – 10 a.m. for the younger candidates and at 2 p.m. for the older contestants.
