PROSSER Prosser is home to many businesses, some come and go, but others become fixtures. One such business is Sister to Sister.
M’Liss Bierlink opened Sister to Sister 14 years ago. The business offers a variety of merchandise to purchase. There are boutique clothes, home décor and a bakery counter.
“It’s something I always wanted to do. When I was a little girl, I would take things from around the house and set up displays in my room and tell my family ‘shop me’,” Bierlink said.
When it comes to success, the owner says that her customers feel wanted and welcome and that her business is prayed for.
“I pray with my customers,” Bierlink said. “There is an organic relationship there, I honestly think that god is the reason my business is successful.”
“It’s a combo pack, my business is unique because we are God-centered, I have employees with exceptional personalities.
“Plus, I am always looking for that niche and filling it,” Bierlink said.
The bakery in the shop was once such niche. “We didn’t know if a bakery would be successful, but we felt that there was a niche her that could be filled.”
“The relationship between staff is more like a family, we are invested in each other,” Bierlink said.
