The 2018 primary ballots have arrived, but before you randomly mark your choice think carefully about what the candidate’s bring to the Yakima County Commissioners table.
Of the seven candidates on the ballot, only the top two vote-getters will advance to the general election.
I urge voters to mark ballots for City of Grandview Mayor Norm Childress. Childress will bring 26 Years of governmental experience to the commission.
Childress is a known quality. He uses common sense and innovative thinking to approach financial issues.
Childress is able to say his city has been able to balance its budget the past 14 years, even though there have been some challenging situations, without letting any staff go.
I truly believe that Childress will represent the Lower Valley on a commission which is often focused solely on the upper county areas.
Childress will focus on our public safety and farm to markets routes.
Mark your ballot for Norm Childress for the Aug. 7 primary election.
