Gospel Jamboree has a new home

Doug Diamond to perform in Grandview on June 17

— The Gospel Jamboree is moving from Mabton to a new location in Grandview.

The weekend religious program will now be at Anchor Point Church, 609 W. Bonnieview Ave.

The first guest musician at the new venue will be a long-time participant, Doug Diamond, June 17, officials said.

Diamond sings old time gospel songs such as "In Grandma's Rocking Chair," plays keyboard and guitar, and brings a sense of humor along to share.

The June jamboree begins at 2 p.m., Sunday, June 17.

The jamboree takes place on the third Sunday of each month.

Admission is free, although donations are accepted.

In addition to established musicians, the program includes and open mic.
