Thanks for volunteer and community clean up support


On a beautiful spring day, Saturday, April 12, more than 160 volunteers cleaned up and painted six more homes in the Sunnyside community for a total of 71 homes. A special thanks to the more than 60 students from Sunnyside High School.

Bud and I would like to give a humble thank you to our neighbor dairymen, Jason Sheehan and the Veldhuis brothers - Ruurd and Hessel - for their hard work in helping us level our two acres of land.

Taxation without representation

I see our legislators are wanting to add another tax to all Washington state vehicle registrations to pay for another ferry. All residents would be required to pay this tax so that Seattle can have another ferry to use.

Urge enactment of carbon fee


We, law and decision makers, are all concerned about adequate water for our agricultural crops, cities and rural homes. This prompts expansion of surface water storage.
