Sunnyside High School senior Juan Casas helps with the planting sites for the native plants, which were being planted to create a pollinator barrier at the Heavenly Hills Harvest Farm located south of Sunnyside. Eleven young volunteers were at the farm this past Saturday to help with the creation of a natural habitat for bees and native birds in the area.

Youngsters instrumental in finishing pollination project at Sunnyside farm

A chilly, wet morning greeted the young people gathered at South Emerald Road’s Heavenly Hills Farm this past Saturday morning to plant native plants as part of a habitat restoration pro-ject.
