Grandview Parks and Recreation volunteer Deanna Carpenter explains how to do headstands to her group of young students, who took part in a four-day gymnastic class offered in Grandview earlier this week. In addition to headstands, the youngsters learned a few balancing moves as a part of their 45-minute class.

Everyone gets a high five in Deanna Carpenter’s class of future gymnasts. The children, ages 4 to 7, attended the four 45-minute sessions held at the Grandview Community Center as part of the Grandview Parks and Recreation summer program.
