Sunnyside brought a large crowd to the Tacoma Dome for the 2014 State 3A girls basketball tourney. The fans got to witness history as the Lady Grizzly hoop program recorded its most wins in one season – 23 – and highest finish ever at State with fourth-place honors.

The Sunnyside Lady Grizzly basketball team made history last Saturday with the program’s highest finish ever at the State 3A tourney, claiming fourth place honors. Players on this year’s team included Mireya Herrera, Vanessa Alvarez, Summer Hazzard, Jasmine Lua, Jazel Trevino, Aubrey Isquierdo, Natalia Bazan, Selena Rubalcava, Emilee Maldonado, Jessica Mendoza, Jordan Rodriguez and Tiana Perez.
