Friday night lights a little brighter at Clem Senn Field

Friday night lights mean high school football. In Sunnyside the Friday night lights are shining brighter these days thanks to the Grizzlies’ 3-0 start to the season. In a dramatic role reversal from the recent 22-game losing streak, Sunnyside has outscored its opponents 81-38 on the way to a 3-0 record. They are the Big 9’s only undefeated team heading into the contest tomorrow, Friday, at Cheney. Contrast that to a year ago, when Sunnyside started 0-3 against the very same three opponents, scoring 34 points while surrendering 84. All of which makes Friday nights just a little sweeter this fall for the Grizzly faithful. Those Friday night lights will next shine on SHS’s Clem Senn Field in two weeks when the Grizzlies host Moses Lake on Friday, Oct. 9, for the annual homecoming game.
