  • ...FREEZING FOG ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 8 AM MST SUNDAY...
    The National Weather Service in Pocatello has issued a Freezing
    Fog Advisory, which is in effect until 8 AM MST Sunday.
    * TIMING...Until 8 AM MST.
    * VISIBILITY...Widespread areas of low visibility are expected
    across the Interstate 84/86 corridor from Burley to Pocatello
    and the Interstate 15 corridor from Pocatello to Idaho Falls as
    far north as Sage Junction. Other areas include Highways 20/26
    from Idaho Falls and Blackfoot to the INL. Some mountain passes
    just outside of the advisory areas like Tom Cat Summit and
    Monida Pass will see low visibilities as well.
    * IMPACTS...Reduced visibility will make traveling at normal
    highway speeds hazardous. Dense freezing fog may create black
    ice on roadways, especially bridges and overpasses, making
    them slick.

  • ...FREEZING FOG ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 10 AM MST THIS
    MORNING...
    * TIMING...Through 10am this morning.
    * VISIBILITY...Widespread visibility at or below 1 mile, with
    local visibility restrictions below 1/4 mile.
    * IMPACTS...Freezing fog can deposit ice on roadways and
    sidewalks, especially in areas where visibility is
    significantly restricted. Overpasses will be especially
    vulnerable to collection of ice from the fog.
